Student Innovators 2019 is a student competition in which teams and individuals have the opportunity to present creative ideas and innovative solutions in a 5-minute “pitch” presentation to a panel of judges and the audience.
Competition winners will also be eligible for 3 C4E scholarships to attend the European Innovation Academy’s summer school in Italy or Portugal.

Fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, risk-taking and entrepreneurship within the student community.
Encouraging students who wish to engage in entrepreneurial activities, to present their ideas and receive feedback and mentorship.
Establishing a public forum where students of various University courses in innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity can present the results of selected team projects of high quality.
Training a steady stream of young aspiring entrepreneurs, who are capable of taking their ideas to the market or the society as new businesses or social ventures.
Generating a wave of new, well-educated and well-resourced entrepreneurs in Cyprus, for the benefit of the local, regional and national economies.
Student Innovators 2019 is designed for early stage and empirical business ideas with a strong innovation potential and/or creative twist.
The three best ideas will receive prizes that will include:
Scholarships for two students to attend the European Innovation’s Academy Summer program (EIA) in Italy or Portugal, offered by Centre for Entrepreneurship (C4E)

The competition is open to teams (of max 5 participants) and individuals who are students at the University of Cyprus.
The proposals must be submitted via email to c4e@ucy.ac.cy by completing the application form below by April 2nd,2018.
At most 10 applications will be selected as finalists, and will be invited to pitch their idea in English or Greek, within 5 minutes, to a panel of judges and to the public, followed by 5 minute Q&A session.
For the presentation pitch you can use slides. If you have a working prototype, a video or live demonstration, you can show it during your talk but this should not add time to your presentation beyond the 5 minutes.
You can only submit one idea per team/individual.
Interest for the European Innovation Academy Scholarships Summer School must be indicated at the application stage. Interest at a later stage cannot be accommodated.
Applications for the final 10 of Student Innovators 2019 will be selected based on the Criteria mentioned as below and announced on C4E and Department of Business and Public Administration websites and social media platforms.
Applicants are required to complete the application form below with information about their team and a brief description of their project (questions 1 and 2 on application). Student Innovators 2019 reserves the right to use the title and brief description of the project in the application form publicly. However, other details submitted on the proposal will be kept confidential. If you are concerned about protecting your idea, do not put any protected information in your short description.
