Research Exhibition
The IEF 2024 Research Results Exhibition is the University of Cyprus' biannual flagship event for emerging research results and projects of at least TRL 3 (Experimental proof of concept) with strong market or societal potential/impact that can be materialised through novel products, processes or services delivered by new or existing ventures, private or public organisations, governmental institutions or non-governmental initiatives.
The IEF 2024 Research Results Exhibition is managed by the Innovation Management Sector of the Research and Innovation Support Service (RISS). The Innovation Management Sector handles the protection and management of the intellectual property rights, the Knowledge Valorisation Activities and the Research and Innovation Contracts of the University of Cyprus.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
1. Terms and Conditions of Applying
1.1 By submitting their Application, Participants consent to the terms of this present document, “9th Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum - Research Results Exhibition Terms and Conditions of Participation” and abide by any guidelines outlined in the “Research Results Participation Form”.
1.2 Prior to submitting an application, participants are encouraged to take all necessary steps to ensure adequate protection of any intellectual property contained in the Application (including but not limited to intellectual property filings, patent and copyright notices). If no such steps are undertaken or participants are in the process of obtaining protection then they are encouraged to include only non-confidential information in their application.
1.3 By submitting an application, participants confirm that the results presented in their application are their own, or in the case of collaboration, they have the consent of their collaborators to present the results.
1.4 By submitting an application for participation in the Research Results Exhibition, Participants give their consent for the inclusion of a short description of their work and of a profile of each team member in a printed volume to be published by C4E, unless agreed otherwise in writing with the Forum's organizers. This volume will be circulated to Forum participants.
2. Conditions of Participation
2.1 No participation fee is payable by any Participant.
2.2 Eligible to apply to the Research Results Exhibition are academic researchers, students, post-docs or faculty of the University of Cyprus.
2.3 Applications must be submitted by midnight, on the 7th of October 2024.
2.4 C4E and the University of Cyprus shall be held harmless by each Participant in the event of legal action involving the Participant or its Application.
3. Application requirements Applications are expected to satisfy the following aspects:

Clarity of presented result(s).

Potential with respect to market exploitation and/or societal uptake.

Novelty and scientific merit of the submitted result or prototype.

Competitive advantage or unique problem solution.

At least TRL 3 - Experimental Proof of Concept Applications that showcase the capabilities of research laboratories (e.g. specific equipment, unique know-how, etc.) are also encouraged (in this case, the TRL does not apply).
