You are free to use this space as you think best.

You are responsible for printing your own poster.

You are required to place your poster on the 28th of November, between 08:30 AM - 10:00 AM and you are responsible to remove it on between 05:00 PM - 06:00 PM.

Kindly note that the Registration Desk will provide you with double-sided tape to place your poster on the stand.

POSTER CONTENT AND PRESENTATION

1) Poster Content

The poster will need to be in English. You should try to avoid jargon, and mostly use layman's language. You will need to ask yourself and answer the following questions in your poster:

  • What is the problem I am trying to solve?

  • Why is the innovation?

  • Is it scalable?

  • Who is the competition?

  • The Team

The questions above are in no way meant to be a strict template to follow – you can structure your poster any way you want. However, it would be ideal if your poster answers most of the questions above.

2) Poster Presentation

We recommend having no more than 2 presenters per poster. One would be best. The presenter will need to be ready to explain the work in layman's terms, and be able to answer the questions above. She/He would need to be able to explain his work in both English and Greek.

There is no need to engage the guests regarding funding or acquisition on the spot – or engage in business conversations unless they engage you along that route. Being too aggressive is very often counter-productive.

Dress code for the day of the event: Business casual.

3) Desk

A small table can be provided to you, to be placed in front of the poster stand and be used for a laptop, to place a prototype or any company leaflets. If you need the table please note:

  • You have to notify the organizers (c4e@ucy.ac.cy ) by November 21st.

  • We cannot guarantee that there will be power connections near the table, as power sockets are not available in all corners of the room.

  • We will provide a corner where you could charge your laptops if needed.

If you need anything beyond the desk, especially if you wish to run a demo and/or a video of your project, please let the organizers know and we can discuss if this can be accommodated.
