Student Innovators (SINN) is the University of Cyprus student competition featuring early stage business ideas! Student teams are invited to present creative ideas and solutions for challenging problems with impact to the economy and/or society in a 5-minute “pitch” to a panel of judges and the audience.
The Student Innovators Competition forges a public forum in the University of Cyprus where students of
various courses in innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity present the results of selected team
projects. The competition is a part of broader effort of the university to train a steady stream of
graduates with activities that increase their employability and enterprise ability

Public's Awards
The attendees at the event will have the chance to vote. The team with the most votes will win Tablets.
All winning teams will have the permission to access and use the Co-Working Space at CYENS for a period of six months.

The Director and Members of the Council of C4E will evaluate all the applications received and announce the final 8.
The competition is open to teams (of max 6 participants) and individuals who are students (graduate, post graduate and Phd candidates) at the University of Cyprus.
The proposals must be submitted via email to sinn@ucy.ac.cy by April 5th2024.
Candidates are required to complete the application form (located above) with information about their team and a brief description of their project (questions 1 and 2 on application).
At most 10 applications will be selected as finalists, and will be invited to pitch their idea in English or Greek, within 5 minutes, to a panel of judges and to the public, followed by 5-minute Q&A session.
For the presentation pitch you can use slides. If you have a working prototype, a video or live demonstration, you can show it during your talk but this should not add time to your presentation beyond the 5 minutes.
You can only submit one idea per team.
Individuals must participate in only one team.
Applications for the final 10 of Student Innovators 2024 will be selected based on the Criteria mentioned as above.
Student Innovators reserves the right to use and publish the title and brief description of the project in the application form, in its web sites and other media outlets. However, other details submitted on the proposal will be kept confidential. If you are concerned about protecting your idea, do not put any protected information in your short description.
By applying you agree to abide by the University’s Rules, Regulations and Academic code of conduct regarding academic integrity and plagiarism. Violation of these regulations by a participating team or member thereof may render their participation void.
The SINN Evaluation Committee reserves the right to exclude any application that, in their sole and absolute discretion, determines it does not fit within the Entry Guidelines and Conditions of participation of the Competition.
