[24 Feb] Intro to 3D Printing

Abstract:

An introduction to the world of 3D Printing, what can we do with 3D Printers and how to do it, by printing a real 3D model.

Participants will be introduced to the world of 3D Printing, what can we do with 3D Printers and how to do it, by printing a real 3D model. The printing process will be explained, as well as the different materials that can be used. Finally, we will discuss about tuning the printer and the model to achieve a successful result. The workshop is intended for anyone that has no prior knowledge of 3D printing.

The Speaker: Odysseas Economides, CEO & Founder, ROBO

Odysseas Economides received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus. Former product manager of the leading portal Ergodotisi and Deliveryman. He is the founder and director of ROBO (www.robo.com.cy), a startup that focuses on building innovative electronics and robotics platforms aimed for education, research and entertainment. Member of Lakatamia Makerspace and graduate of European Innovation Academy. Odysseas is also a C4E Mentor.
