[26 Apr] The Student Innovators Competition – SINN2023

The 5th Student Innovators Competition will take place on Wednesday April 26th at 10:00 at the University of Cyprus, Auditorium B108 Anastasios Leventis Council & Senate Building.

The Student Innovators is the University of Cyprus student competition featuring early stage business ideas! Student teams are invited to present creative ideas and solutions for challenging problems with impact to the economy and/or society in a 5-minute “pitch” to a panel of judges and the audience.

The competition is a part of broader effort of the University of Cyprus to train a steady stream of graduates with activities that increase their employability and enterprise ability. 

 

The Call of Applications is OPEN now until April 17th 2023.

It is worth noting that the Student Innovators competition of the University of Cyprus attracts the interest of various actors of the Cypriot entrepreneurial ecosystem. For the last 5 years, the competition has been the a pipeline that feeds the ecosystem with early stage start-up student teams. The student teams resulting from the combined actions of the University of Cyprus participate in entrepreneurship competitions such as the Junior Achievement Cyprus, the Cyprus Entrepreneurship Competition (CyEC), Hack Cyprus and Robotex as well as in incubators or business accelerators such as the IDEA Innovation Center, Cyprus Seeds, Chrysalis LEAP, ARIS, PwC Scaleup Program, Gravity and others. Some examples of teams that have come forward are: Eleutho Diagnostics, HPF, Kolokasi Products,  HYPERIΩN - Microgrid Advanced Metering Infrastructure via Android programming, FHC (FEEL - HEAR - CARE)  and ROBO.
