ENTREHUBS Summer School Empowers Students Across Europe with Entrepreneurial Mindsets
Nicosia, Cyprus – ENTREHUBS, a pioneering project dedicated to integrating entrepreneurship education (EE) in European universities, has concluded its latest Online Summer School with resounding success. The program, part of ENTREHUBS’ broader mission to infuse entrepreneurial thinking into higher education, especially within non-business faculties, engaged students from diverse disciplines across Europe, equipping them with critical skills to develop entrepreneurial and proactive mindsets.
Over the course of the summer, the ENTREHUBS Online Summer School provided interactive, online mini-courses designed to cultivate entrepreneurial competencies and behaviors. Through hands-on learning and real-world application, students explored ways to transform ideas into impactful solutions, contributing not only to the economy but also to society.
"This summer school embodies ENTREHUBS' vision," said Maria Lavithi, representative of ENTREHUBS at the University of Cyprus. "We are committed to making entrepreneurship accessible and relevant to students from all backgrounds. This initiative provides students with a toolkit that helps them turn their ideas into real value for others."
The summer school focused on three core outcomes:
1. Development of Entrepreneurial Skills: The program emphasized skills such as creativity, resilience, and problem-solving, essential for entrepreneurial success.
2. Experiential Learning through Value Creation: Students were encouraged to take a value-centered approach to entrepreneurship, aiming to create solutions that meet both economic and social needs.
3. Cross-disciplinary Collaboration: Through group projects and networking opportunities, students collaborated across disciplines, gaining insights into innovative ways to address complex challenges.
Students expressed high levels of satisfaction, noting that the program empowered them to see entrepreneurship as a realistic, rewarding career path. Educators from partnering institutions echoed this enthusiasm, seeing the program as a meaningful step toward fostering a new generation of entrepreneurial thinkers.
The ENTREHUBS Online Summer School is just one part of the broader ENTREHUBS initiative, which includes an educational model, a repository of EE resources, and a blended training program for educators. ENTREHUBS aims to build a sustainable foundation for entrepreneurship education in universities across Europe, especially in departments that have traditionally lacked access to such resources.
As the project continues, ENTREHUBS remains focused on creating entrepreneurial universities that serve as hubs of innovation, collaboration, and practical impact. For more information on ENTREHUBS and its initiatives, please visit the official website.
