With Thomas Witt, Tech Entrepreneur & Angel Investor
Synopsis:
‘Emphasizes the importance of launching a minimum viable product (MVP) quickly and iterating based on real user feedback. This talk would explain why founders shouldn’t wait for perfection: getting a basic product out helps them understand customer needs and refine the idea sooner. A bit of a similar angle as the PMF talk, we see so many startups which are too much in love with their idea without very little market validation. Focuses on putting customers first in the early stages, even if it means manual, unscalable work. It will share why personally engaging with initial users – via one-on-one outreach, concierge onboarding, local meetups, etc. – is crucial to validate the idea and build a loyal base. The talk also warns against worrying about competitors or vanity metrics too early; instead, founders should ignore the noise and double down on solving real customer problems. In a small ecosystem like Cyprus, this customer-centric focus and hands-on approach can give startups an edge before scaling up.’
