Synopsis:
This lecture is a hands-on, startup-oriented overview of rapid prototyping: how to move from an idea to a functional prototype quickly, affordably, and with fewer mistakes. We’ll cover key techniques and decision-making frameworks for choosing the right method (3D printing, laser cutting/CNC, basic electronics prototyping), designing for iteration, validating assumptions early, and avoiding common pitfalls that slow teams down. The session includes real-world examples from product development cycles and practical “do’s and don’ts” students can apply immediately.
