Nicholas Loulloudes is an Information Technology Professional and Entrepreneur. His interests evolve around the areas of Cloud Computing, GeoLocation and Intelligent Transportation. Specifically, his expertise focuses in the domains of: Large-Scale Distributed Systems (Cloud, IoT) and Compute Resource Virtualization, Vehicular Networks (Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communications), Smart Cities, and Complex Networks. Nicholas, has a long involvement in the Eclipse open-source ecosystem as a Committer, and currently leads the Cloud Application Management Framework (CAMF).
He has been a mentor to a variety of postgraduate and undergraduate theses, as well as, international competitions such as the Google Summer of Code (GSoC ns3 2012 & 2013). His work has been funded by acknowledged international bodies (EU FP6 - FP7, Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation) as well as world renowned organizations (Amazon).
He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus (2015), an M.Sc. in Communications Networks and Software from the University of Surrey (2006) and a BSc in Computer Science from Intercollege (Cum Laude, 2005). He has served as a researcher or visiting lecturer at the University of Cyprus (UCY) and University of Nicosia (UNic). His research has been published in leading scientific conferences and journals. Recently, his ideas have been presented in Innovation and Entrepreneurship competitions (ClimateLaunchpad, Digital Champion).
